Project Scope: Demolish Existing House and Construct a Custom Cottage

Specifications: 2 Bedroom, 1-1/2 Bath – 1331 s.f.

Design Intent: The homeowner had an existing cape with an attached 3-season porch along the front with views of the lake. It was determined that a remodel of the existing home was not practical so the decision was made to demolish the existing home and build new. The town had limitations on the property due to the size of the lot and proximity to the water so the building size was limited to the existing footprint. The homeowner provided a sketch depicting her ideas for the floor plan along with photos of things she liked from previous homes she lived in. The intent was to take better advantage of the lake views from various parts of the house.
